The Bangladesh Cricket Board, on Friday (January 12), announced the warm-up match between Zimbabwe and BCB XI has been cancelled as the visitors couldn’t arrive in Bangladesh as scheduled. Zimbabwe were initially expected to reach Dhaka on January 10 and the match was scheduled to take place on January 13.

Incidentally, the visitors had also deferred their arrival by a day and were set to reach on January 11, only to alter their plans again following some ticketing complications.
“The warm-up game was cancelled as it would not be possible for the visitors to play a match tomorrow [January 13] after arriving in four separate groups,” a BCB spokesperson told Cricbuzz regarding cancellation of the practice game on Friday.
The visitors are now scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Friday (January 12) to take part in the tri-nation series involving Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, commencing from January 15.
