Yorkshire County Cricket Club has signed Sri Lankan seamer Vishwa Fernando for their next three games in the County Championship 2024.
Fernando will be available for club’s assignments against Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire and Derbyshire.
Fernando represented Durham County Cricket Club last season and managed to claim 7 wickets in 2 games at an average of 22.42.
The experience Fernando will accumulate playing in English conditions with Yorkshire CC will be useful for him when he will tour England with the national team later this summer, with the first of three Tests beginning on the 21st August at Emirates Old Trafford.
The 32-year old left-arm quick has represented Sri Lanka in 23 Tests and scalped 64 wickets at 33-09.
