In a gripping and fiercely competed final race, the Sri Lankan David got the better of Fernando Barichelo by a mere 0.5 seconds to clinch his 2nd race of the FormulaEuro World of Formula competition and thereby crowned the overall champion.
It was surely an astonishing performance in that David started at P5 on the grid on the basis of Reverse Grid system, but a well-structured and cleaver strategy adopted by Yevan ensured success.

This is following yesterday’s performance where he chalked up his 1st win in the opening race. Yevan also won the ‘ Rookie driver award of the championship.

Fittingly. the Sri Lanka National Anthem was heard for the 2nd time as Yevan David stood proudly on the winners podium flagged with the Sri Lankan flag.
