The Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU) with the financial partnership of South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT) will be hosting the Super 7’s tournament and it is scheduled to be held this Saturday 20th of August at the Police Park grounds.
Teams from all around the Western Province are due to take part in this tournament under 3 segments. Top Club teams from Division A will compete in Segment 1, while B Division teams will battle it out in the second segment.
There will also be a Developing teams segment in which the upcoming teams will play against each other.
The specialty of this tournament is the participation of girls teams for the first time in the history of the WPRFU.
Teams such as the Air Force, Army, Navy, CR & FC, Police, Havelock SC, Old Mudalians, Gampaha RFC, Panadura SC, and Kalutara RFC will be participating at the Super 7’s tournament.
Head over to the Police Park grounds this weekend, 8 am onwards to witness professionals and the upcoming players take on each other in a day dedicated to rugby.
