Island’s most competitive Women’s T20 competition; Super-Provincial Tournament will be held from 24th-29th November for this year at Sinhalese Sports Club ground.
The four teams which will be competing in the 2019 Super Provincial Tournament are Team Colombo, Team Dambulla, Team Galle and Team Kandy.

Team Dambulla will be led by Sri Lanka Women’s team skipper Chamari Atapattu who made two centuries in the recently concluded tour in Australia while 21 year-old Harshitha Madavi who was nominated as the player of the tournament in 2019 Emerging Women’s teams Asia Cup for her all-round performances, will guide Team Kandy. The experienced campaigners Oshadi Ranasinghe and Nilakshi de Silva will captain Team Colombo and Team Galle respectively.

Last year’s edition of this tournament which was held as a 50-over competition was won by Team Galle led by Shashikala Siriwardene.
With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is just around the corner, this will be a perfect opportunity for the Sri Lanka ladies to start the preparation process for the “Big Dance” which will commence on 21st February in Australia as a 10-team event. 2019 Super Provincial Tournament will also help the selectors to find the best talent and inform players in Sri Lanka.
