Colts CC and Navy SC recorded wins on day two of the ongoing womens division 1 limited over tournament 2015.
Colts CC thrashed a hapless Palink SC by a massive 219 runs at the Surrey Grounds in Maggona today(30). Imesha Sharmali stole the show with a well compiled century which helped Colts CC towards a mammoth total of 297/7 in their allotted 50 overs after winning the toss and batting first. In reply, Palink SC never got going as they folded up for a paltry 78 runs. Colts CC bowlers were disciplined in their blowing effort as Tharini, Tharika and Pujani picked up 2 wickets each.
In the other game played at the Navy Grounds in Welisara, it was another one sided affair as Navy SC recorded a massive 122 run win over Air Force SC. After winning the toss and taking first lease of the wicket, Navy SC crawled their way towards a respectable 204/9 with national representative Shashikala Siriwardena making a top score of 84. Ama Kanchana was brilliant with the ball for Air Force SC as she ended up with top figures of 5/32. Air Force SC were able to muster only 82 runs as they folded up in just 29.5 overs. Maduri Samuddika picked up 4 wickets for Navy SC.
