The 3rd Week of October marked one of the biggest black dots in world cricket as West Indies cricket went into a deep hole with their players withdrawing from the ongoing Indian tour due to a payment structure dispute.

BCCI have cut down all their ties with WICB and if they lodge a complaint, West Indies might be suspended and they will not take part in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

West Indies pull out of India tour

The West Indies cricket tour of India came to an abrupt end after the long payment structure dispute between the West Indies players and management boiled over. The teams were set to play a five ODI series, but it was called off late this week with just three games completed and India holding a 2-1 lead. The decision was known to the public through various media institutions during the middle of the Dharmsala ODI.

The West Indies team had threatened to pull out even before the tour started, with players threatening to strike if pay issues were not resolved. Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed that they had received an invitation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and that the two Boards had agreed to a five-match one-day series to be held from November 1-15 as a replacement for West Indies.
