With the war ending and life coming back to normal, cricket has infiltrated very much to the Northern part of the country.
At the helm of this has been Muttiah Muralidaran.
Planning to penetrate in to cricket in the Jaffna peninsula, Sri Lank Cricket has planned to commission many wickets in the North and East.
The ceremonial opening will be on the 5th November 2013 at the Killinochchi Central College at 11.30am which will be followed by a
Demonstration by Muttiah Muralidaran followed by a press briefing.
Cricket equipment will also be distributed to many schools in the area.
