Windies selectors named an unchanged squad for the Caribbean team’s upcoming two-Test series against Zimbabwe, retaining the same 15 players who were involved in the 2-1 Test series loss to England recently.
“The dedication, commitment and focus in their preparation and during the series in England showed immense character for such a young team in very difficult conditions against World-class competition,” said Courtney Browne, chairman of the Cricket West Indies selection panel.
“The lessons learnt on that tour augurs well for the individual players and the team’s continued development as a whole and we wish them well on the Tour of Zimbabwe,” Browne added.
West Indies begin their tour with a practice game against Zimbabwe A from October 15-17 at the Bulawayo Athletic Club. The first Test begins on October 21, while the second Test will be played from November 2 with both matches to be held at the Queen’s Sports Club in Bulawayo.
