Wenuka Galahitiyawa of Dharmaraja College returned figures of six for 51 to restrict hosts Nalanda for 239 in their U-19 cricket match which began at Campbell Place today.
Nalanda’s innings was propelled by three half centuries from Avishka de Silva, Woshantha Silva and Senura Amarasinghe. De Silva was the top scorer for Nalanda with 59 followed by Wosantha 54 and Amarasinghe 52.
Dharmaraja in their response lost one wicket for 33 runs. Romesh Ranasinghe was unbeaten on 22 and would look to lay a solid flat form tomorrow to avoid first innings defeat in the hands of Nalandians.
