Making history, The Webb Ellis Cup, the most sought-after silverware in the Rugby world landed in Sri Lanka for the first time earlier today(18th). The trophy tour is organized by Mastercard on of the main sponsors of the Rugby World Cup.

The coveted silverware will be viewed to the public on the 18th. 19th and the 22nd of February with the trophy set to leave the Island on the 23rd of this month.
The largest national public viewing event will be held at Racecourse premises on the 18th organized with the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Council where over 500 students and over 100 rugby players are expected to gather to catch a glimpse of the Webb Ellis Cup.
CR&FC who are celebrating their centenary year have been honored with holding a viewing on the 19th of February. The champion outfit Kandy Sports Club will host the trophy at Nittawela on 22nd February in Kandy where arguably countries most passionate rugby fans reside.
