Wattala BC beat Police SC 50-28 to secure their semi-final berth in the Men’s Over-35 category in the ongoing Masters Basketball Tournament, played at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo yesterday.
Meanwhile in the women’s category, Hatton National Bank BC will play with Angles ‘A’ in the finals of the Masters Inter-club Basketball Tournament on Thursday evening while it will be followed by the two Men’s Over-45 and 35 finals respectively. The tournament is conducted by the Masters Basketball Association in Sri Lanka.
In the Women’s semi-final, HNB beat Maldives BC by 28-14 after leading by 12-6 at short whistle. In the second women’s semi-finals, Angels ‘A’ beat Angels ‘B’ by 15 points after leading 15-4 at lemon.
