Sri Lanka’s leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has undergone a successful surgery after missing out the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 due to hamstring injury.
Hasaranga sustained the injury during the recently concluded Lanka Premier League 2023. He was supposed to join Sri Lanka squad for the World Cup after recovering from the injury but missed out as the injury had been aggravated during the rehabilitation process.
Hasaranga who went under the knife to cure his injury, had confirmed on his social media handles that his surgery was successful.
Hi everyone,
I am happy to inform you that my surgery to repair the defect in my hamstring muscle/tendon was a success, thanks to the brilliant work of Prof. Fares Haddad and the amazing hospital staff.
I will see you soon.
