Sri Lankan leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been appointed as the captain of Kandy Falcons franchise team for upcoming Lanka Premier League 2022.
The star all-rounder Hasaranga will be leading a franchise team for the first time in his career.
‘’We are extremely happy to announce that Wanindu Hasaranga will be captaining our team. He is an experienced T20 cricketer. I am very confident he will do a great job,’’ said Parvez Khan, the owner of Kandy Falcons.
Kandy Falcons will begin the season with the first game played on August 1st against the Colombo Kings.
The 3rd edition of the Lanka Premier League, Sri Lanka’s top-most domestic T20 Tournament, will be held from 31st July to 21st August 2022. The games of the much-awaited competition will be played at the RPICS, Colombo, and the MRICS, Hambantota.
