Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa took major honours against Royal College, Colombo in a Singer-cup group B game which began today at Royal grounds.
Being asked to bat the home team declared their innings for a below-par 134 for 8 wickets. In reply the visitors were in a commanding position as they posted 307 for 6 in 53 overs. Sri Lanka youth-cap Vishwa Chathuranga stroked a superb century and he was ably supported by Dilanka Maduranga who was unbeaten on 87 runs. Fast-bowler Himesh Ramanayake captured 5 wickets for the home team at close of play.
