Sri Lankan leg spinner Vijayakanth Viyaskanth has been signed by Chattogram Challengers to play in the Bangladesh Premier League 2023.

The 21-year-old leg spinner had an impressive outing with the ball in the recently concluded Lanka Premier League, where he picked up 13 wickets in 8 matches for the title-winning Jaffna Kings franchise.
He finished as the 4th highest wicket-taker of the tournament and managed to win the emerging player of the tournament award for his heroics with the ball.

The 9th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League will be held from 06th January to 16th February 2023. The 7-team competition will consist of a total of 46 matches which will be played in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.
