The oldest living Sri Lankan cricketer, Chandra Schaffter represented Sri Lanka (called Ceylon at the time) in two sports, both Hockey and Cricket.
He has been a part of the sport in the country for many decades both as a player and an administrator and has done immense service to his club Tamil Union. A successful businessman too, Mr Schaffter is often called the “father of insurance in Sri Lanka” owing to his association with Janashakthi Insurance.
He sat down with our host Mr Rex Clementine for 6th episode of ThePapare.com’s Legends series.
