Sri Lanka’s Ushan Thiwanka Perera established a new National Record (Indoor) in the High Jump event at the Lone Star Conference 2021.
The America based star athlete renewed the National Indoor record with a jump of 2.25m, the best any Sri Lankan has done in this meet in the history of the Lone Star Conference. His performance was recorded as the new meet record as well as the new Indoor National Record.
Thiwanka beat Manjula Kumara’s height of 2.24m which he achieved at the Asian Indoor Championship back in 2016 to claim this record.
A prodigy from Maris Stella College Negombo, Thiwanka currently resides in Texas, USA to continue his college education and his training.
