St. Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa emerged champions of the SLSCA Under 19 Division 2 Tier ‘A’ Inter-Schools Two Day Tournament 2024/25.
St. Joseph Vaz College managed to claim first innings points against Dharmaloka College in the final of the tournament ended today in a draw at Welagedara Stadium in Kurunegala.

Having been asked to bat first, Dharmaloka College were restricted for just 167 runs as Himal Ravihansa ripped through their batting lineup, claiming 6 wickets.
The boys from Wennappuwa put on a better batting display with a first innings score of 237. Savio Fernando top scored for St. Joseph Vaz College with a knock of 99 runs while Eshan Mihiranga chipped in with valuable 52 runs.

Themira Mikasana was the pick of the bowlers for Dharmaloka College as he grabbed 6 wickets for 61 runs. Sathidu Praboda also impressed with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 72 runs.
