Senuka Dangamuwa’s double century and Arosha Udayanga’s match bag of 10 wickets helped Mahinda College, Galle reach the final of Under 19 Division 1 Tier B Two Day Cricket Tournament 2024/25.

Mahinda College defeated St. Thomas’ College, Matara by an innings and 69 runs in the Semi Final encounter worked off today at Sooriyawewa International Cricket Stadium.

After restricting S. Thomas’ batting lineup for just 140 runs thanks to Udayanga’s five-wicket haul (5/42), the boys from Galle put on a strong batting display courtesy of Dangamuwa’s magnificent double century.

Dangamuwa scored 200 runs off 153 balls with 24 fours and 8 sixes helping Mahinda College post 373 runs for their first innings.

St. Thomas’ College began their second innings 233 runs behind and made only 164 runs as Udayanga ran through their batting lineup once more, picking up another five-wicket haul.

Meanwhile, Nalanda College, Colombo and St. Anthony’s College, Kandy registered wins in the Limited Overs segment of the tournament as they beat Richmond College, Galle and St. Benedict’s College, Colombo respectively.
