Thurstan College, Colombo and Mahinda College, Galle were declared joint champions of Under 19 Division 1 Tier B Two Day Cricket Tournament as the final encounter ended in a draw today (1st March) at Sooriyawewa International Cricket Stadium.
Thurstan College resumed their first innings on Day 3 at 274 runs for 5 wickets and added 37 runs more to the scoreboard before declaring the innings.
Vihas Thewmika and Tanuja Rajapakse top scored for the boys from Colombo with scores of 83* and 76 respectively.

In reply, Mahinda College posted 56 runs for 3 wickets before the rain brought curtains to the game. Since, the game ended without a result, the organizers decided to declare both teams as join champions.
