De Mazenod College, Kandana and St. Joseph’s College, Colombo qualified for the Semi Finals of Under 19 Division 1 Limited Overs Cricket Tournament 2024/25.
Dinosh Jelon’s all-round heroics helped De Mazenod College register a comfortable win over St. Anne’s College in a Tier B Quarter Final played today at St. Anne’s College Grounds, Kurunegala.
Having won the toss, the hosts opted to bat first but a terrific spell from Jelon (4/30) restricted them to just 162 runs. Yashmith Jayasundara played a fighting knock for the visitors with a score of 80 runs off 110 balls with 10 fours.

Rishma Amarasingha and Yenula Dewthusa anchored the run-chase for Joes with match-winning half-centuries. Amarasingha scored 58 runs off 90 balls with 4 fours and a six while Dewthusa hit 51 runs off 90 balls with 4 fours.
