Royal College Colombo (A), Richmond College Galle (A) and Royal College Polonnaruwa advanced to the pre quarter final round from Division I while Wayamba Royal College Kurunegala, Mahinda Rajapaksa National School Homagama, Sri Sumangala College Kandy and Jaffna Central College advanced to the pre quarter final round from Division 2 of the U15 Inter Schools Cricket Tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket.

In the second-round fixtures, Royal College Colombo (A) won took 1st innings points against St. Benedict’s College Kotahena (A) at Reid Avenue in Colombo while Richmond College Galle (A) registered a first innings win against Prince of Wales College Moratuwa and Royal College Polonnaruwa did so against St. Sylvester’s College Kandy in Polonnaruwa. 

Sehadu Sooriyarachchi of Royal College, Colombo scored an unbeaten century against St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena which helped Royal College to take the first innings advantage.

Under 15 Division II Schools Cricket Tournament 2023 

Wayamba Royal College Kurunegala took the first innings victory against Wickramabahu National College Gampola and Mahinda Rajapaksa National School Homagama won the first innings against Rajasinghe Central College Hanwella while Sri Sumangala College Kandy registered first innings win against Ananda National School Chilaw and Jaffna Central College won the first innings against Sri Rahula College Katugastota in their second-round fixtures. 

Sayuranga Wijerathne who is playing Sri Sumangala College, Kandy scored a superb hundred against Ananda National School, Chilaw which set the platform for his team to take the first innings win while Anuja Thinuwara of Mahinda Rajapaksa National School, Homagama guided them to bowl out their opponents for just 61 runs with a magnificent 5-wicket haul.
