Pakistan will continue to play its major home tournaments in the UAE, the two cricket boards confirmed in a joint press release on June 27. The Pakistan Super League, which has been staged in the UAE since the inaugural edition, will continue to be held in the region, according to the statement.

The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has also decided to implement a ‘significant reduction’ of costs to the PCB for hosting their tournaments with immediate effect. They are also scheduled to host a T20 and the T10 League from December 10, 2018 to January 10, 2018.
PCB had raised concerns after ECB had recently announced a new T20 league of their own, and even made it clear that Pakistan players would not be allowed to feature in it. According to media reports, PCB chief Najam Sethi has been negotiating with the ECB to create a 35-day window before the next edition of the PSL to provide PCB enough room to make necessary logistical and marketing arrangements.
