Colombo South emerged champions of U19 Women’s Youth League 2022 as they beat Galle by 8 wickets in the final of the tournament worked off today (14th September) at RDICS, Dambulla.
A brilliant bowling display from Colombo South managed to restrict the Galle team to just 81 runs in 19.5 overs. Navodya Jayasinghe was the pick of the bowlers for Colombo South as she grabbed 3 key wickets for just 10 runs.

Mihidi Sanudini, Tharushi Fernando and Manudi Nanayakkara also chipped in with taking 2 wickets each for Colombo South.
It was a walk-in-the-park victory for Colombo South as they managed to cross over the line quite comprehensively in the 14th over losing only 2 wickets. Nethmi Senarathne stroked impressive 50 runs off 44 balls including 6 fours. She managed to win the player of the final award for her match-winning knock.
