Five matches of the ongoing SLSCA U19 Schools Cricket Tournament 2021/22 were held today (22) around the island.
In the top batting performances today, the Nalanda College Sri Lanka coloursmen, Vinuja Ranpul and Raveen de Silva, showcased their quality with centuries off each of their bats to take Nalanda College to a comfortable victory over a strong Richmond College outfit.
Another Sri Lanka U19s graduate, Lahiru Dawatage, too slammed a century to become the highest scorer of the day. The Peterite scored a fighting 117 runs to help his school secure a massive win over Dharmapala College.
Sharujan Shanmuganathan of St. Benedict’s College scored a valiant hundred against the might Josephians yet had to settle in the losing camp.

Pathum Vihanga and Amitha Sandeepa of St. Anthony’s College, Wattala bagged 4 wickets each to top the bowling performances although the batters did not support enough to take their team to victory.
