Seven matches of the U19 Division 1 Limited Overs Tournament were worked off today (16th March) at several venues across the island.
Mineth Premaratne’s brilliant century helped Ananda College register a comprehensive 87-run win over St. Aloysius College. Wanuja Sahan (86*) and Lahiru Dawatage (83) stroked half-centuries guiding St. Peter’s College to victory against Maris Stella College.

Meanwhile, Nalanda College recorded a massive 251-run victory over D.S. Senanayake College thanks to crucial half-tons made by Yasiru Samarakoon (84), Vinuja Ranpul (77*), Raveen De Silva (68*), Rusiru Vilochana (58) and excellent bowling spells of Dineth Samaraweera (6/14), Lisura Sigera (4/30).
Royal College met St. Anne’s College at Kurunegala in another Tier A encounter which ended in the favor of visiting Royal College as they thrashed the hosts by 129 runs. Dasis Manchanayake (68*) and Sadisha Rajapaksha (64 & 2/25) were the star performers of Royal College’s victory.
