Five matches of the U19 Division 1 Limited Overs Tournament worked off today (14th March) at several venues across the island.
St. Joseph’s College registered a comprehensive 9-wicket win over S. Thomas’ College thanks to the brilliant bowling performance of Dunith Wellalage, who took 5 scalps for 14 runs, wrecking the Thomian batting line up.

Lahiru Dawatage’s brilliant effort with the bat (83) and Danal Hemananda’s all-round show (44 & 2/27) steered St. Peter’s College to a massive 158-run win over Dharmaraja College.
St. Anthony’s College continued their good run in the U19 Schools , recording another convincing win over St. Benedict’s College. Sri Lanka U19 capped Chamindu Wickramasinghe’s well-compiled half-ton (76) and Asitha Wanninayake’s all-round efforts (52 & 2/43) guided the Antonians to victory.
