Two traditional encounters of the U19 Schools Cricket tournament ended in draws today (11th June) at Mount Lavinia and Colombo.

St. Sebastian’s College managed to take honors in the drawn encounter against S. Thomas’ College which ended today at Mount Lavinia. Yasahan Avishka (68*), Savindu Rodrigo (56), Yashan Ravishka (3/36) and Sandesh Fernando (3/53) played vital contributions with bat and ball for the lads from Moratuwa.
Raveen De Silva’s all-round effort (5/64 & 59) was the highlight of the drawn encounter between Nalanda College and Royal College which ended today at Nalanda College Grounds in Colombo.

Meanwhile, the 38th Battle of the Rocks played between St. Anne’s College, Kurunegala and Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala ended in a draw today.
Maliyadeva College almost snatched the victory against St. Anne’s College in a thrilling encounter worked off at Welagedara. Amesh Thennakoon’s classy half-century and Sakindu Wijerathne’s match bag of 7 for 79 stood out for Maliyadeva College.
Trinity College registered a 4-wicket win against St. Anthony’s College in the 40th Battle of the Blues One Day encounter played today at Asgiriya. Vibhawith Ehelepola (4/20) and Ranuda Somarathne (52*) were the chief architects of Trinity’s victory.
