St. Peter’s College qualified for the Tier ‘B’ Final of SLSCA U19 Division 1 Cricket Tournament 2021/2022 as they beat Isipathana College by 4 wickets in the Semi-Final worked off today (07th April) at Maggona.

Isipathana College won the toss and opted to bat first.

Isipathana’s batting unit couldn’t execute their plans properly as they were restricted to 170 runs in 44.5 overs. Wanuja Sahan, Danal Hemananda & Shenon Rodrigo starred with the ball picking up 2 wickets each for St. Peter’s College.

St. Peter’s College chased down the target in 40.1 overs with 4 wickets in hand and secured their place in the final. Sri Lanka U19 cap Wanuja Sahan used his experience at the international level to guide his team home scoring crucial 42 runs off 63 balls with 5 fours.

The victorious St. Peter’s College will meet Thurstan College in the final of SLSCA U19 Division 1 – Tier B Cricket Tournament 2021/2022 which will be played on 11th April at Bloomfield Grounds, Colombo.
