A couple of U19 Division I two-day games came to an end today in Galle & Colombo while another two matches started today (16th February) in Colombo.
Thanuga Palihawadana struggled with the home side batters with his left-arm orthodox spin, picked up 7 wickets as Mahindian batters were all out for 161 runs.

Thurstan batters took a 102-run 1st innings lead with the skipper Shanikya Deshapriya (76) and Navindu Dulan (50*) scoring valuable fifties.
When the match ended in a draw, Mahinda College were able to post 127 runs for losing 5 wickets.
Opening batsman, Kusal Wijethunga scored a fine hundred for Trinitians against Royal College as they were able to post 300 runs for their 1st innings while Jayavi Liyanagama (61) and Rahal Amarasinghe (48) made useful contributions too.

From the overnight score of 50/0, Royal batters were blown away for 108 runs this morning courtesy, Dinuka Thennakoon’s magnificent spell of 7 for 15. With that performance, they had to follow on, but eventually bowled out for 130 runs with Dinuka Thennakoon recording a yet another 5-wicket haul & he finished with a match bag of 12 wickets.
After half of the side departed for 76 runs, Anuga Pahansara and Rukshan Tharanga scored half-centuries as Wesley College got 219 runs for their 1st innings.
In reply, St. Sebastian’s side were 99/4 at the close of play on day 1.
Tharushka Ashel hit a terrific knock of 161 unbeaten runs while Tharusha Nethsara missed out on a well-deserved hundred by 1 run as Isipathana College declared their 1st innings on 350/5.
At the end of play on day 1, Anandians were 40/4.
