After having won the toss, the Peterites decided to bowl first. However, the visitors proved that decision wrong as they declared on 340/7 with a magnificent 188 from the Nalandian opener, Rusiru Vilochana.

Somehow, the home side too batted well for a major part of their innings, as they fell 1 run short of the Nalandians’ 1st innings score despite a sensational hundred from Vishen Halambage.
