All the matches which were concluded today ended as draws but St Joseph’s College, Mahanama College, Wesley College, Prince of wales’ College, Thurstan College and Trinity College managed to register first innings win today.
Senanayakian Muditha Lakshan continued his rich form as he stroked another century today adding to his 77 runs in the first innings. Ravindu Ratnayaka of Isipathana College scored a mammoth century (162) but his partners didn’t support him well to pip Wesley College’s 1st innings score.
Cambrian Tharindu Amarasinghe’s brilliant 144 certified them the first innings win against St. Anthony’s College while Yohan Liyanage’s 7 wickets in an innings restricted Maliyadeva College to 195, giving Thurstan College the upper hand. Sineth Sithara shone with the ball for St Thomas College Matara as he accumulated a match haul of 8 wickets.
