Richmond College, Galle vs Dharmapala College, Pannipitiya
The Galle school won the toss and elected to bat first at Pannipitiya. The Richmondites batted out 71.1 overs and made 272 runs in their first-innings. The tall right-hander, Adithya Siriwardhena too-scored for Richmond College with 61 runs. Chamindu Samarasinghe engaged himself in a lone battle against the collective efforts of the Richmond pack. Chamindu picked up 4 wickets for the hosts.

It was a smooth sail for Dharmapala early on when they came out to bat. But, then came Dilum Sudeera. The left-armer troubled the home team on regular intervals as he ended the innings with 6 scalps under his belt.
Pannipitiya boys ended the innings at 205 runs with Vihanga Gunarathne (37) making the most for Dharmapala College.
The visitors decided to go on a leisure outing as they walked out in the second-innings to get some batting practice. Adithya Siriwardhena hit his second fifty of the match while Sandun Mendis milked 66 runs.

Wesley College, Colombo vs Thurstan College Colombo
Last year’s skipper Thisuraka Akmeemana held the innings together for Wesley as they made a mammoth 333 runs in their first innings. Thisuraka slammed 104 runs opening the innings for the Wesleyites.
In their home grounds, Thurstan College were sloppy with the bat as they managed only 153 runs after being taken to the cleaners early-on. Yohan Liyanage scored 66 runs for Thurstan College while the fresher, Thenuka Perera picked up a fifer for visitors.

The hosts made a quick reply as they put up a better response in their follow-on. They made 174 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and ended the game in a draw. Reliable Jayavihan Mahavithana stood up for the team with 72 runs to his name while the skipper Sandaru Dias and opener Yohan Liyanage scored 31 runs each.

Following-on, Ananda skipper, Kamesh Nirmal put his hands up and delivered to his school with a match-saving 101 runs in the second-innings.
