Thurstan College Colombo were a bit too hot to handle for Maliyadeva College as the former registered a comprehensive 9 wicket victory to bag deserved outright honours in a group D encounter worked off at the Maliyadeva grounds.
After chasing a formidable first innings lead set by the visitors Maliyadeva struggled to keep up as they once again crumbled under pressure to be bowled out for a 102 runs. Naveen Gunawardena scalped a scintillating nine wickets to spearhead the visitors to triumph.
