S.Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia vs Nalanda College
The Thomians resumed day two on 93/2 and went on to post 202 for 8 as the skipper Dellon Peiris thought about a declaration after they lead by 51 runs. Nalandian off-spinner Maheema Weerakoon was excellent with the ball as he claimed 6 wickets out of the 8 wickets that Nalanda took in the first innings.
The Nalandians were in tatters at 42 for 7 in their second innings and eventually got bowled out for 81 runs inside 48 overs. Skipper Peiris was the star for the lads from Mount Lavinia as they demolished Nalanda College in their traditional encounter which concluded in Mount Lavinia.
