Hameed Al Husseinie College
The Hameedians came out on top in a tough group which was difficult to call right from the start.
5 wins and a loss saw them notch up 15 points throughout the campaign which was enough to top the group. They received 2 walkovers from Royal and Zahira, the latter being a bit of a disappointment as it would have been a cracker of a game to watch.
They lost their only game of the season to Holy Cross College. Skipper Aman Faiser leads the scoring with 5 goals and a solid defensive unit has seen them concede just 3 goals throughout the season.

Holy Cross College
Holy Cross did remarkably well to pip Zahira College to 2nd place in the group and qualify for the semi finals.
The boys from Kalutara got their 14 points courtesy of 4 wins and 2 draws. They had to work hard for their points, playing exceptionally well against Royal and Zahira to earn two 1-1 draws.
Holy Cross sealed their semi final spot in their last game, where they beat Hameed Al Husseinie 2-1 at home in a thrilling game.
They conceded just 4 goals throughout the campaign with skipper Malinda Jayod Karunaratne keeping 2 clean sheets along the way. Nirmal Udara tops the scoring for them with 6 goals.

Zahira College
Zahira will be disappointed to have missed out on qualification for the semi finals after they failed to beat Holy Cross College.
They ended up in 3rd place with 13 points coming from 4 wins and a draw.
They were a very impressive team to watch as they thrashed Royal 4-0 and Lumbini and Ananda both 5-0. Conceded just 1 goal throughout the campaign but conceded a walk over to the Hameedians which ultimately proved costly.
Top scorers for them were Mohammed Murshid with 3 goals and skipper Farood Faiz with 2.

The Sri Lanka Schools’ Football Association (SLSFA) confirmed the three walkover results in the U19 Division I Championship.
Royal College
Royal College enjoyed a good season in their first year back in the A division registering 8 points which came courtesy of 2 wins and 2 draws.
Draws against St. Peter’s and Holy Cross along with wins against Ananda and Lumbini ensured that the Royalists gave a good account of themselves to finish in 4th place.
The key player for Royal was their talisman and Java Lane star Naveen Jude who netted a couple of goals in the group stage.
St. Peter’s College
The Peterites proved themselves to be a tough team to beat, despite not enjoying the form or results they had a couple of years ago.
Conceded just 6 goals but suffered 3 narrow defeats. They are on 4 points with a game in hand to decide the 5th/6th places that will be played against Lumbini.
U19 Division I – Group A Review
The SLSFA U19 Division I Group A saw reigning champions Maris Stella College stamp their authority at the top while.
Lumbini College
Lumbini endured a rather disappointing season winning only 1 game against Ananda, but have the chance to add to their tally of 3 points when they play St. Peter’s on the 19th.
They were on the receiving end of heavy defeats when they played Zahira (5-0) and the Hameedians (6-1) as they struggled to make a big impact on the group.
Ananda College
A season to forget for Ananda who was found to be well out of their depth ending up last in group B without a point.
Failed to score a goal all season and conceded 27 goals which was the most in the division and will find themselves relegated to Division II next season
