The quarter-finals of the under-19 school cricket tournament organised by the Sri Lanka School Cricket Association and the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute started yesterday (05).
Mahanama College Colombo and Trinity College Kandy, St. Anthony’s College Kandy and St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa, Royal College Colombo and S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavina faced off against each other in the quarter-finals started yesterday.

Malith Ratnayake of Trinity College Kandy, was outstanding with the ball for Trinity College, grabbing 6-wickets against Mahanama College. Chaniru Senaratne of Trinity College, Kevan Fernando of St. Anthony’s College Kandy, Rehan Peiris and Ramiru Perera for Royal College Colombo managed to record half-centuries.
The second day of this trinity of matches is scheduled to take place today (06).
