One game in the ongoing U19 Division I Schools Cricket tournament ended today with St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa beat their archrivals Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa in the 1st innings and qualified to the semi-finals.
Archrivals St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa met Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa for the 2nd time this month just having played their big match just two weeks back.

Batting first the Sebastianites managed to score only 173 runs which is rather a below par total with standards set by the boys from Moratuwa this season, Koshendra Fernando top Scored for them with 39 runs and Cambrian Skipper Achala Perera topped the bowling chart with grabbing 4 wickets.
Prince of Wales College in reply fell short of the St. Sebastian’s 1st innings total by 26 runs, Sebastianite skipper dismantled the Cambrian batting unit with superb bowling display of 5 for 46.
Vimath Dinsara top scored in the 2nd innings for St. Sebastian’s with 53 runs, Young Prince Fernando’s brilliant 6fer kept the cambrians still in the game with having to chase 144 runs in a limited space of time.

With overs coming to end in the day’s play, Prince of Wales College needed another 79 runs to make a comeback and register an outright win. Bastian Skipper Manuja Chanthuka grabbed 4 wickets to slow down run scoring flow of Prince of Wales College which saw him capturing his 100th wicket for the season.
