Superb knocks from right handed Avindu Herath and Muditha Hashan lifted St.Sylvester’s College, Kandy as they thrashed Holy Cross College, Kalutara by an innings and 1 run today. The game was held at the Asgiriya Police stadium.
The visitors made 128 all out in their 1st innings, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first. Lahiru Thambawita made 46 while pacies Thenuka Liyanage and Manuja Perera grabbed six wickets between them.
The Vesters’ batting was too good for the boys from Kalutara as they declared with the score on 250 for the loss of 6 wickets.
