The quarter final round of the U17 Schools cricket tournament organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association will commence today (5).
The U17 tournament is happening for the first time since 2019 as school cricket came to a halt for two years due to Covid-19. Mahanama College Colombo who won the title in 2019, got knocked out by Runner ups from the same edition, St. Joseph’s College Maradana in a pre-quarter final encounter earlier this year.

The Pre-Quarter final round of the tournament ended two weeks ago. Below are the results of the round.
- Peter’s College Colombo beat Wesley College Colombo
- Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia beat Moratu Maha Vidyalaya
- Trinity College Kandy beat St. Anthony’s College Wattala
- Mahinda College Galle beat Revatha College Balapitiya
- Richmond College Galle beat De Mazenod College Kandana
- Gurukula National College beat St. Benedict’s College Kotahena
- Sebastian’s College Moratuwa beat St. Anne’s College Kurunegala
- Joseph’s College Maradana beat Mahanama College Colombo
After the pre-quarter final round, the tournament had a slight delay due to the U17 Youth Cricket League which was won by Colombo North.

The four matches are scheduled to take place from today (5th) to 8th of September.
