Singer U17 Div I tournament is slowly progressing through to the second round. Here’s a brief review into a few matches which concluded during the last couple of days.

Ganidu Hanwella’s all round performance guided President’s College to their first win of the tournament. His four wickets with the ball and an unbeaten 60 with the bat helped his team to register a massive 9 wicket victory over Carey College.

Asoka Vidyalaya fell 39 runs short in their chase against Isipathana College today. Isipathana posted 262 in their lot of 50 overs and in reply Asoka was bowled out for 223 runs.

St Sylvester’s beat the weather to register a 4 wicket victory according to the Parabola Method. The Rajans posted 166 and in reply Sylvester’s were cruising at 144 for 6 in just 28 overs when the rains came down.

Thurstan College vs Royal College
Thurstan put up a dominant performance with both bat and ball to seal a convincing victory over Royal College. Royal could only score 148 after they elected to bat first and Thurstan got over the line in the 46th over with 5 wickets intact.
