With the unrest in the Kandy district coming to a standstill, the season opener between St. Anthony’s College and Trinity College has been scheduled to kick off on Monday 12th March 2018 as both schools have reached common ground on the date.

The game that was scheduled for the 11th of March was postponed until further notice when the unrest in the Kandy Digana and Theldeniya area escalated to a position where the government had to declare a state of emergency and impose curfew within the district.
With the situation returning back to normal, the Antonians are set to host Trinity College on the 12th of March at Nittawela. However, the kick off time for the game has been brought forward to 3.00 p.m. in a bid ensure the security of the schoolboys and spectators attending the game.
Meanwhile, the Wesley College v Dharmaraja College game will not be played this week and will most likely be played after the conclusion of the 1st round matches.
