The TMO (Television Match Official) which was introduced..
The pilot project last season was a success with some excellent decisions given, some overturned and refereeing aided immensely.
Technology for the TMO was introduced by ThePapare.com in collaboration with Sri Lanka Rugby to the country in order to assist the referees with difficult calls, giving the Referees in Sri Lanka the benefit of the advanced technology in making decisions.
The first TMO match for the new Singer Schools’ season will be the clash between St. Joseph’s College and Kingswood College kicking off at 4 pm at the Havelock grounds tomorrow.

The technology has been introduced as an initiative to uplift the game of rugby and facilitate the development of the game. ThePapare.com will partner with the SLR and the Sri Lanka Rugby referee’s society (SLRRS) along with the tournament’s main sponsors Singer Sri Lanka to introduce Television Match Official (TMO).
This facility is being used all over the world but last season’s use in Sri Lanka was the first time that the TMO was introduced for a domestic rugby tournament. The first Television Official was said to be used back in the year 2001. Since then TMO has been available for international matches all over the world including the Rugby World Cup and the Rugby Championship.
