The TISSL inter-international school under 20 Netball Tournament will be held on the 27th of January at the Sugathadasa Indoor stadium. The event is being hosted by Ilma International Girls’ school for the 9th successive year.

2018 champions, Gateway College Colombo will return to defend their championship title which they grabbed in a nail biting final game against Ilma International last year, and will compete against 10 other schools nationwide in the 2019 edition.
Asian International College, Colombo International School (Colombo), Colombo International School (Kandy), Lyceum International School (Panadura), Lyceum International School (Wattala), British School, Royal Institute, Serendib Burhani School, Gateway College (Kandy) and host school Ilma International Girls’ School will join Gateway College (Colombo) in the mix for this year’s competition.

To allow more match play between the lower tiered schools of the Group stages, the TISSL committee brought forth a new concept to play a ‘Plate Winners’ segments for the 4 teams that finish 3rd and 4th in each group.
‘’Many young players sometimes believe that it is merely their talent that matters. However, talent combined with skilled, are just part of the ingredients towards the achievement of overall success in learning and improving, not just winning” opined Mrs. Fareeda Wahab, the Prinicipal of Ilma International Girls’ School.
