The third and final Twenty20 International between Ireland and Afghanistan at Bready Cricket Club, Derry, was washed out before a ball had been bowled on Friday 24 August.
Afghanistan had already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead having beaten hosts Ireland in the first two matches of the series.

The tourists, who haven’t lost a T20I match this year, have defeated Ireland seven times in a row in the shortest format of the game.

Afghanistan spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan, No.1 on the MRF Tyres ICC T20 Rankings for Bowlers, have been at the heart of the visitors’ attack, picking up seven wickets between them in the second T20I, while Hazratullah Zazai scored back-to-back fifties in the series.

The two sides will now compete in a three-match ODI series, with the first set to take place in Belfast on Monday 27 August.
