Tharindu Harshana of Thurstan College won the 2nd edition of ThePapare.Com Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the year award powered by The Chance Sports.
Harshana registered a mammoth —— votes to become the 2nd ever ThePapare.Com most popular schoolboy cricketer award winner. The highly talented opening batsman of Thurstan College who has amassed over 1500 first XI runs for the school has a highest score of 134. Harshana also played a vital role in the Thurstan College’s Tier B Limited overs campaign of the 2021/22 season where they ended up as the runner ups. Along with his batting, Harshana is well known in the schools cricket circuit as one of the best wicket keepers around.
Followed up by Harshana, Ashen de Soyza of St.Benedict’s College bagged a total of ——– votes to end up as the runner up of the competition.
The 3rd place was clinched by S.Thomas’ College cricketer Mahith Perera with —— votes.

The competition began with 108 school cricketers representing 36 schools that took part in the Under 19 Division I Tournament of 2021/22. Organised by Sri Lanka’s No.1 sports hub ThePapare.com, the event was powered by the renowned sports goods store in Colombo, The Chance Sports.
The first phase of the competition ran from 22nd – 31st of August 2022 via online voting on ThePapare.com website after which the top 36 players advanced to phase two. The second phase was based on SMS voting and was conducted from 02nd of September until 5.59pm on the 16th of September 2022.
The winner of the competition, Harshana, will take home an arsenal of cricket goods from The Chance Sports while the first and the second runner-up will each get gift vouchers from The Chance Sports.
