Watch out for Blue White and Gold to be decked and adorned on Marine Drive.  Lock your dates in to be a part of the exciting Peterite vehicle Parade which is to be held on 14th March 2015.

A feat that began back in 2009 as just a mere idea of fun and sportsmanship among the OBU in order to support the Peterite Big Match, has now come a long way since then.

Starting with just 30 vehicles that took to the streets in 2009, the number increased to an impressive 600 in 2014.  The trend caught up with Peterites of all ages and each year the enthusiasm and excitement to be a part of this parade grew.  The creative brains behind the idea are Shanaka Gunasekera and Lashan Ranasinghe (batch of 2007).

This year the Parade is expected to have over 800 vehicles and more than 2500 spectators and participants. Witnessing such a magnitude of support from the general public and the loyal present and past pupils of St. Peter’s College, is no doubt a tremendous morale booster and the edge needed for the school’s Cricket Team to excel at the Big Match.

‘United we stand, divided we fall’; the 10 member committee of St. Peter’s College have done justice to this statement in the relentless effort they’re investing into this project, to make it a roaring success.

“Strong as rocks”, we’ll play the game Boys.  Ever fighting for the rights.  Never stain the College name, Boys: Keep the flag in sight….”

So as the School Anthem says, all passionate of Cricket, Motor enthusiasts, proud Peterites, will come together on the 14th March setting ablaze the Peterite flame, flags flying high and cheering their Cricket team to a victory.
