The mighty visually impaired Sri Lankan cricket team sealed their third straight victory in the inaugural T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, as they beat Australia on a commendable note.

The day three of the tournament (4) saw the mighty Sri Lankans taking over Australia in the former’s third game in the first round.

Winning the toss, Australia decided to take on batting first, with the intentions of recording an impressive total against the Sri Lankans.

With a solid batting line-up, Australians managed to put up a total of 234 runs in 20 overs losing only six wickets. Remarkably, five out of six dismissals were run outs.

Sri Lanka managed to reach the target of 235 runs, losing only three wickets.

For Sri Lanka, it was yet again a ‘master-blaster’ performance by Chandana Deshapriya, who added 129 runs (not out) to the total from his bat. He was perfectly supported by Pathum Saman Kumara’s unbeaten 44 runs.
