Jerusha and Shenaya have represented Ladies College Colombo in the local tournaments while Buani Perera represented Vishaka. Sanjule Wickramage, Dehara Katipearachchi and Rovini Illukkumbara are assigned the coaching roles in the squad who will tour to Singapore.

One of the coaches speaking to ThePapare and stated that ‘The main focus of participation is to give exposure to our athletes since the level of sport in synchronized swimming is low, only a few leading Colombo Schools participate. So, our participation is developmental. We have also not participated in any international tournament since 2015.’

The team manager also added ‘Our expectation is to get rated by the international panel of judges and assess our standards while being competitive. This will help us to work on our development in future and choose future competition.’
